This year, the tournament will benefit three incredible local nonprofits:
Northwest Education Foundation (NEF)
Denton Freedom House
Bob's House of Hope
Each of these organizations plays a vital role in enriching and supporting individuals and families across our community, and Champions Rotary is proud to partner with them in this year’s charitable efforts.

The Northwest Education Foundation (NEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enriching education in the Northwest Independent School District (Northwest ISD).
Mission & Purpose
NEF empowers Northwest ISD educators and supports students through private donations. Its key initiatives include funding innovative teaching grants, awarding student scholarships, and operating a district-wide resource store offering classroom supplies, books, snack packs, and more—none of which are funded by tax dollars.
Key Programs
Teaching Grants: Teachers can apply for individual grants up to $2,000 or group grants up to $5,000 to implement creative and impactful classroom projects in areas like STEM, arts, literacy, and special education (GuideStar).
Scholarships: NEF awards hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships annually—over $160,000 was awarded for the class of 2025—to support graduating seniors as they move on to college, military academies, trade schools, or vocational programs.
Resource Store (“Neffie”): A mobile and on‑campus shop where educators select free supplies—from school materials to snack packs—saving teachers and schools substantial costs (over $500,000 in one year). Served more than 700 teachers within just its first few days of operation.
Impact & Engagement
NEF has distributed over $1.2 million in scholarships to graduates and continues building partnerships with businesses and community leaders to amplify its impact. Community involvement is central—whether through donating, volunteering, or collaborating with local schools.

Bob’s House of Hope is the first residential safe house in the United States dedicated exclusively to young adult male survivors (ages 18–24) of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking.
It operates under the nonprofit Ranch Hands Rescue, offering a holistic recovery environment centered on Equine and Animal‑Assisted Counseling, a trauma-informed therapeutic approach that pairs residents with rescued farm animals to nurture healing and trust.
Located in Justin/Denton County, Texas, the facility features:
Single‑occupancy homes, shared common areas, and long‑term residential care (often 1 – 3 years).
Comprehensive support including individual therapy (EMDR, TBRI, DBT), medical and dental care, mental health evaluations, case management, mentorship, and life skills support like GED prep, vocational training, budgeting, and community integration.
Residents are referred by local and federal agencies—including police, FBI, and border patrol—and often arrive having endured profound trauma and exploitation. The staff develops individualized wrap‑around recovery plans, blending professional counseling with practical support to empower each young man toward independence and dignity.
The safe house was founded by Bob Williams, CEO of Ranch Hands Rescue. Drawing on his own experience as a survivor and his work with animals since 2009, he recognized a critical void—resources for trafficked boys and young men—and committed to fill it. The house opened its doors on June 1, 2021, and has since expanded to meet growing demand.
