What an unforgettable evening it was at our Annual Recognition Banquet! The night was filled with heartfelt tributes, exciting announcements, and a spirit of camaraderie that truly defines what it means to be a Champion.

A Night of Honors and Milestones

The celebration kicked off with the presentation of the Glenn Hulcher Memorial Impact Award to Roger Shady, a charter member whose dedication and steady leadership have been instrumental to our club's continued success. This meaningful award recognizes those who have made a lasting impact on our mission and legacy.

In a special highlight of the evening, we introduced a brand-new tradition: the Rotarian of the Year Award. Our inaugural recipient, Don Fryer, was honored for his outstanding commitment and service. Adding a fun twist to the recognition, Branded Bagels has pledged to keep Don energized with a bagel a week for the next year—thank you for your generous support!

Recognizing Service Above Self

We were proud to recognize several members with Paul Harris Fellow honors for their contributions to the Rotary Foundation. This included both long-time supporters and first-time honorees:

  • Multiple Paul Harris Fellows: Gary Toothaker, Larry Odell, Raju Samuel, and Dave Everly

  • First-Time Paul Harris Fellows: Joe Church and Ben Scheck

These recognitions highlight the spirit of giving and global impact that Rotary stands for.

Looking Ahead with New Leadership

We also welcomed our incoming Committee Chairs and Board Members, celebrating the new energy and leadership that will guide our club into the next Rotary year. Their dedication ensures that our mission of service and community outreach continues to grow stronger.

The Governor’s Cup: A Proud Moment

Capping off the evening was an exciting announcement—our club was awarded the Governor’s Cup at the District Conference, recognizing Champions Rotary as the Most Outstanding Club in our District! This prestigious honor is a testament to the hard work, passion, and unity of our members. We’ll be proudly displaying the trophy at every meeting and event as a symbol of what we’ve accomplished—together.

Thank you to everyone who made the banquet such a success. Here’s to another year of service, fellowship, and making a difference as Champions!
